The poems you have studied Essay Education for leisure; in this poem the first line suggests that there will be something to do with death as the first line is Today I am going to kill something, ,anything this suggests the person is a murderer for some kind of animal or possibly a human, in this poem that person that is talking has no feeling, I can tell its talking about them self because in the poem every single line it refers to him/her self like in line nine I am a genius. I could be anything at all there he/she refers to there self as a genius and saying that they could be anything saying they have the power, the person is acting like this because they are sick and tired of being ignored as they say at the beginning of the poem, this person has no feeling at all to go and just kill someone face to face looking in there eyes to see there pain, in the poem the person starts off killing little gold fish, then a budgie, he thinks he can do anything he wants as he said in line two to three . And today I am going to play |GOD| as he has killed a fish and a budgie he says in line seventeen there is nothing left to kill so he calls the radio and tells the man he is talking to a superstar, he says this as a last try to get attention, a despite struggle to get people to notice him, but the radio cuts him off, they he looses it, he gets a bread knife out of the draw, as the pavements glitter then he grabs someones arm. Grabbing some ones arm that is the next step, to kill a human, he is gone mental, has no emotional feelings for any one because they have no feelings for him, he doesnt get noticed, and he finally has had enough for it. Havisham by carol Ann Duffy Havisham; you can tell she loved him, but also at the same time hated him more then you possibly could because she states on the first line beloved sweetheart. That shows that she loves him for him being a sweetheart but straight after that she shouts basted this shows that he really hates him, also in the first line it says that she has ropes on the back of her hand that she could strangle with, and this is a metaphor for the tendents for the back of her hands so she wants her hand round his neck, this says to me that she will do anything to kill this one man no matter what way it is. He stood her up years ago and she wants to kill him for what he has done, in the 4th paragraph it says I stabbed a wedding cake, now give me a male corps this implies to me that she doesnt like any men for what her husband did to her years and years ago , she cant trust any men anymore, so she wants to kill most men for what one person had done to her years ago, in this poem by Duffy. Is like the first one they want to kill something because in this one she wants to kill her husband for standing her up and leaving her but she still had emotion for him she still loves him ,and in education for leisure by Duffy the person just wants to kill something kill anything in fact, just because he is being ignored, he wanted to be noticed and people to know his name but they didnt so he started to kill animals then he went to kill humans. The man he killed In the man he killed, is about two men meeting in an inn and they sit down and stare at each other, in this poem there is a line where he says I shot him dead because .. that says to me that there wasnt really a reason to shoot him dead and that he took a mans life because he said he was his foe. In comparison to education for leisure in this one the man shoots the other man, he kills him because he had to, it was either his life or his own. So he shot him dead as in education for leisure.

'Spotted Horses'; Vs. 'Mule in the Yard';   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  William Faulkner wrote two short stories, which are alike in many aspects. 'Spotted Horses'; and 'Mule in the Yard'; are short stories that both involve comic animal chases and financial transactions. Even though the stories are written by the same author, have similar characteristics, and share similar plot features, they are entirely different stories. The stories are both examples of interpretive literature, however 'Spotted Horses'; is a more interpretive short story than 'Mule in the Yard because 'Spotted Horses'; fits Perrine's profile of interpretive literature, and 'Mule in the Yard'; seems to replicate Perrine's profile of escape literature.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  According to Laurence Perrine in his seventh edition of Literature: Structure, Sound and Sense he states the definition of interpretive literature is 'Literature written to deepen and broaden and sharpen our awareness of life.'; Interpretive literature is not candy coated. It allows its readers to experience the trials and tribulations of life. By using graphically realistic plots and endings, which are consistent to those in real life, interpretive literature achieves a higher literary value than escape literature. Interpretive literature allows its reader too step out of the fantasy world they might be living in and focus on what the world is really about. One might say an interpretive story provides insight to understanding. Not only understanding of ourselves, but our neighbors, friends, family or anyone else we might encounter.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Escape literature is the complete opposite of interpretive literature. Escape literature is written purely for entertainment. Escape literature takes it's reader out of the real world and into a fantasy world where everything works and happens just like we want it to. This is a world where the ending always has closure. Escapist authors hardly ever end on a bad note. They want the reader to leave the pages of their story satisfied, and having a sense of contentment. Perrine's example of escape literature is Cinderella. Cinderella's life goes from rags to riches in one night. She marries a prince and lives happily ever after. According to Perrine the most common expectations of escape literature readers are the sympathetic heroes or heroines, the suspenseful plot which one exciting event proceeds another, the resolved happy outcome, and the theme. Escape literature themes confirm the reader's previous opinions of the world. Readers of escape literature read for ple asure not to gather knowledge on how to survive in the real world.

The Orangutans

INTRODUCTION Do you know this animal guys? Yes, u’re alright, this cute animal has name â€Å"Orangutan†. And do you know where we can find these animal? Of course in the forest, it’s a mistake if you say it can be found at your home or in Unesa’s area! hehe.. The question I mean is â€Å"Do you know where country they can survive alive? † OK,, I think you will understand after this presentation, because in this presentation we are going to talk much about this animal and the reality how they can be threatened in nowadays. Orangutans are the only exclusively Asian genus of extant great ape. They have proportionally longer arms than the other, more terrestrial, and great apes. They are among the most intelligent primates and use a variety of sophisticated tools, they also can make sleeping nests each night from branches and foliage. So, it’s not stranger if they are often called as â€Å"the human of forest†. You know guys, Orangutans are now found only in Sumatra and Borneo, in Southeast Asia. Nowadays, the biggest threat that is faced by the habitat of orangutans is a decreasing of their habitat because the rain forest where they live is used as palm oil, mining and trees felled for timber. Orangutans have lost 80% of the habitat in less than 20 years. Indonesia is one country that has reduced the number of the world's largest tropical forest. There are no signs that show reduced rates of deforestation. About 15 years ago, there were approximately 1. million hectares of forest area that continues to cut down every year in Indonesia, and continue to grow in 2000 as many as 2 million hectare. Legal and illegal loggings have affected the depreciation amount of forest in Indonesia. The opening of the forest as oil fields in Indonesia also has resulted in millions of hectares of forest clearing, and it will happen later to all the plain forests which are not protected. As an information, we have to know that Indonesia is a ‘home' for 90 percent of the remaining species w ild orangutans that have habitat in the tropical rain forest. But the forests in Indonesia for 50 years has been much reduced because of illegal logging, land clearing for oil palm industry, paper and pulp. Consequently, these orangutans have lost their homes, and forced to scramble land with humans, that ultimately lead to conflict. And this conflict really happened in Kalimantan, it has recently been reported that there was a massive slaughter of orangutans in Kalimantan. The existence of endangered orangutans in East Kalimantan has been even more endangered. They continue to be slaughtered, as the impact of forest clearing for oil palm plantation. According to the results of a recent survey, people who live on the Indonesian side of Borneo or Kalimantan, have killed at least 750 orangutans in a year. The beginning point of orangutans slaughter is originated from a palm oil company of Malaysia that plans to plant oil palm there, they held deforestation which reached thousands hectares of forest. As a result, habitat for animals, especially orangutans in the forest habitat becomes damaged. They will lose their homes and their food sources. So that, they survived their lives by eating the buds of palm oil that has been planted. This makes the company owners furious, they decide orangutan is a pest and must be destroyed. One of witness even said that the company promised to pay anyone who managed to kill and persecute the orangutans will be paid 500 thousand to 1 million rupiahs. So, that triggers the local society to do the hunting of orangutans with various ways to get that reward. This is basically what this paper are going to talk. This paper will give a complete and detail analysis from the information above of the case of the orangutan slughter problem by giving the prediction of the negative effect that are going to be hapenned if this condition continues. This paper will also give some opinion based on the analysis,who to be responsible for this case,and what to do to recover this bad condition by giving some recommendation to the government.

In a play, there are always heroes and villains. Sometimes, one can not always tell who are the heroes and villains. William Shakespeare, in his play, Julius Caesar, shows the difference of heroes and villains using the senators of Rome to show the difference between heroes and villains. The hardest character to determine was the hero Brutus, by analyzing his loyalty, background, and his intentions, one can determine that Brutus was a hero to Rome. Brutus’ loyalty helps shape whether his cause was justice or unjustified. In the beginning, Brutus is walking with Caesar. He even helps him when a soothsayer tells him to beware the Ides of March. â€Å"What man is that? / A soothsayer bids you beware the Ides of March† (I, ii, 18-19). This explains Brutus’ loyalty, but knowing Brutus as a person may help determine how he was a hero. Brutus had a very interesting background; this helps determine his side of the play. Brutus is wondering which side to take during the beginning of the play. During Fuqua 2 his soliloquy, Brutus’ background information is identified. â€Å"And therefore think him as a serpent’s egg / which, hatched, would, as his kind, grow / mischievous; / And kill him in the shell† (II, i, 32-34). This means that he should kill Caesar before he becomes a threat. That also identifies Brutus as a man who worried a lot and is a man who wants the best for Rome, not himself. Besides worrying, Brutus also was emotional. Brutus’ wife Portia kills herself one day when she was alone. Brutus becomes very depressed over this matter. â€Å"No man bears sorrow better. Portia is dead† (IV, iii, 146). This means that he is sorrow for his wife’s death, and a synonym for sorrow is depressed. This shows Brutus was a sympathetic man, and somebody who can love one’s country and others. Villains are always referred to as emotionless in plays; the heroes always connect and wouldn’t murder without a cause.
